I've been sharing my love for roadside attractions on my own blog, Olio in Iowa, for more than three years now. But I've also partnered with travel planning company Roadtrippers to share some of my adventures, at home, and on the road.
I admired Zapier's blog long before I became a contributor. Their long-form approach to content and their deep focus into relevant topics made me an instant devote. So when I learned they were looking to add to their stable of writers, I jumped at the chance to become a contributor.
When I worked at Silicon Prairie News, my stories were regularly featured in the Welch Avenue Weekly (now renamed The Pull). Now that I've moved on to a different role, I help compile and summarize the weekly news roundup about entrepreneurs in Iowa.
In early 2015, I began working with the Technology Association of Iowa (TAI) to produce a monthly newsletter called The Table. Each month The Table delivers upcoming events, member spotlights and featured content to TAI's members, friends and community leaders across the state.
It wasn't until I moved to Iowa that I truly fell in love with offbeat roadside attractions and quirky World's Largest things. Now I occasionally contribute to the Iowa Tourism Office's Travel Iowa blog.
